Álvaro de la Ossa is a biologist with extensive experience in applied research, specifically in the areas of biotechnology and microbiology. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Costa Rica and later pursued graduate studies, obtaining a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the National University of Colombia. His research has largely focused on the applications of microbiology in agriculture and the environment, with a particular emphasis on the study of microorganisms and their potential for improving agricultural practices and environmental conservation.

Throughout his career, de la Ossa has held various academic and research positions. He has worked as a researcher and professor at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Costa Rica and the National University of Costa Rica. His work has been instrumental in advancing the understanding of how microorganisms can be utilized in sustainable agriculture, particularly in areas such as biofertilizers and biocontrol agents.

Álvaro de la Ossa has also been actively involved in scientific outreach and education, working to bridge the gap between research and its practical applications in the field. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences, presenting his findings and collaborating with researchers from around the world. His contributions to the field of applied microbiology have made a significant impact on sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in Latin America.
