Ginés Guerrero
Ginés Guerrero is an expert in high-performance computing and computational science. He holds a degree in Computer Science and is currently the Technology Director at the National Laboratory for High Performance Computing (NLHPC) in Chile. He is also a researcher at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) at the University of Chile, where he focuses on developing and optimizing computational infrastructures to support large-scale scientific research.
Throughout his career, Guerrero has been involved in numerous projects that enhance the capabilities of high-performance computing in Chile and Latin America. His expertise includes the management of supercomputing facilities, the development of parallel computing systems, and the application of computational methods to solve complex problems in various scientific fields. Guerrero’s contributions have been instrumental in positioning the NLHPC as a key player in the regional scientific computing landscape.
In addition to his technical leadership, Guerrero is committed to promoting the use of advanced computational tools within the academic and research communities. He regularly collaborates with scientists from diverse disciplines to apply high-performance computing solutions that advance their research. Guerrero continues to be a driving force behind the growth and development of high-performance computing infrastructure in Chile and beyond.
