Current Memoranda of Understanding (2025)
The establishment of collaborative ties in the field of advanced computing has been a progressive endeavor, beginning with the creation of strong connections among researchers from each participating country. These individual relationships have gradually evolved into institutional partnerships, enabling the signing of Memoranda of Understanding that support the development of High-Performance Computing (HPC) across the region.
SCALAC’s mission is to develop and integrate advanced infrastructures throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, while simultaneously building a network of experts capable of leading scientific research initiatives and positioning the region as a reference point for scientific collaboration and cooperation.

Our Valuable Works
Recognizing the diversity and distinct realities of our region, SCALAC has promoted the establishment of Memoranda of Understanding that allow local institutions to connect with regional initiatives and to develop joint visions that strengthen scientific research. These diverse realities enable the inclusion of a wide spectrum of institutions—from local university centers to national research facilities—thus fostering an integrated regional ecosystem.
